Scoreboard Management

Create and manage live scoreboards for sporting events and competitions.

Two kinds of scoreboard

The portal supports two different things under the name "scoreboard":

  • Live Score Update / Ladder Update — follows one game (or one ladder) and writes the score into a Scoreboard action inside a stack. Created from Automations > Scoreboard, as described below.
  • Dynamic Scoreboard — follows every game of a whole season and gives each fixture its own live page (scoreboard, clock, timeline, team stats, box score). It is created from a Fixtures action, not from this page. See Live fixture pages.

Live fixture pages (Dynamic Scoreboard)

A Dynamic Scoreboard has three parts, and they are set up in this order:

  1. Integration — under Integrations, connect the data provider (for example Sportradar DataCore) with the club's credentials and timezone. One integration covers every competition and season the provider offers.
  2. Fixtures action — in the stack editor, add a Fixtures action and choose the integration, competition, season and (optionally) team. Saving the action subscribes that season, so the fixture list and final scores start syncing every five minutes. This is what fans see and tap.
  3. Automation — in the Fixtures action's Live scores panel, press Create one. The Dynamic Scoreboard form opens pre-filled for that season. Pick the push notification category and which moments send a push (tip-off, period end, full time, stoppages), then save.

Once the automation is active, every fixture in the action opens a live page. Games played earlier in the season are imported automatically over the following minutes (a few per minute), so the whole season fills in no matter when the automation was created. Upcoming games are polled live from shortly before tip-off until shortly after full time.

Things to know:

  • The Open live page on tap switch on the Fixtures action can only be turned on while an active automation follows the action's season. If the automation is switched off, fans see the final score in the list but a "not available" notice on the game page.
  • One automation covers one season. If a Fixtures action shows a previous season, create an automation for that season from that action in the same way.
  • The Where fans open it stack on the automation is used to build push notification links. It does not add a Fixtures action to the stack; the stack must contain one.
  • Import progress and any sync errors are shown on the automation's page under Fixtures being followed.

Creating a Live Score or Ladder Update

Navigate to Automations > Scoreboard > Create a new Scoreboard to create a single-game scoreboard. Configure the following settings:

  • Game Description — A descriptive name for the game or match.
  • Game Identifiers — An external reference used to link the scoreboard to external data sources or systems.
  • Sync From / To — The date range during which the scoreboard is active and will sync data.
  • API Service — The data source used to feed score and game data into the scoreboard.
  • Period Count and Period Length — Define how many periods the game has and the duration of each period.
  • Game Clock Type — Choose between a running clock (counts continuously) or a static clock (manually updated).

Linking to Stacks

Scoreboards are linked to stacks via Scoreboard actions. The stack UUID and action UUID connect the scoreboard to the display. When configuring the link, you will need to set up the following identifiers:

  • Stats UUID — The identifier for the statistics display component.
  • Timeline UUID — The identifier for the game timeline component.
  • Main Action UUID — The identifier for the primary scoreboard action in the stack.

Live Updates

Scores update in real-time once a scoreboard is active. Manual updates can be made through the Scoreboard action editor at any time during the game.

For supported sports, automatic updates can be configured via the API service. When an API service is selected and the game identifiers are correctly configured, score data will be pulled and displayed automatically without manual intervention.

Push Notifications

Enable timeline notifications to send push alerts for key game events such as goals, penalties, or period changes. To configure push notifications for a scoreboard:

  • Enable the timeline notifications toggle in the scoreboard settings.
  • Select a push notification category for the alerts. This determines which users receive the notifications based on their category preferences.
