User Management
Manage Mission Control users, assign roles, and control access to portal features.
User List
Navigate to User Management in the sidebar to view all admin users. Users are displayed in a searchable, paginated table. Use the search field to filter users by email address and quickly locate a specific account.
Adding Admin Users
Click the Add User button to create a new admin account. Enter the user's email address, which is automatically converted to lowercase before being saved.
If the user already has an existing app account, they will be granted admin access using their current credentials. If the email address does not match an existing account, a new Cognito account is created and a temporary password is sent to the user via email.
Editing User Roles
Click on a user in the table to view their profile. From the profile screen, you can assign roles on a per-client basis. Each role grants access to specific portal features, allowing you to tailor the experience for each admin user based on their responsibilities.
Roles & Permissions
Roles control which sidebar features are visible to the user and whether they can view or edit content within those features. Each role is configured with a set of permission features, and each feature can be granted view access, edit access, or both.
The available permission features are:
- dashboard — Access to the main dashboard overview.
- analytics — Access to analytics and reporting tools.
- cms — Access to content management (images).
- stacks — Access to stack and action management.
- fans — Access to fan user profiles and groups.
- fanContent — Access to fan-submitted content.
- fanOffers — Access to loyalty offers management.
- scoreboards — Access to scoreboard configuration.
- automations — Access to automation workflows.
- polls — Access to poll results and form submissions.
- data — Access to data export and reporting.
- users — Access to admin user management.
- tvApp — Access to TV application settings.
- wlaAppManagement — Access to app branding and configuration.
- development — Access to developer tools and settings.
Player Data Access
Player profiles have their own permissions on top of a user's role: Manage player records, Access private contact details, Access emergency contacts, Manage public profiles and View player audit history. Each person starts with the defaults for their portal role (Admin or Editor), and a club admin changes them person by person in Teams & Players → Players → Data access and settings. See Player Profiles.
First Login
New admin users receive a temporary password via email when their account is created. On first login, they will be prompted to set a new password. The password must meet Cognito's security requirements, which include a minimum of 8 characters containing both letters and numbers.
Email addresses are case-insensitive. Whether a user enters their email with capital letters or lowercase, it will be normalised before lookup.
