Media & Display Actions
Actions for displaying images, videos, and downloadable files.
Ad Image with URL
The Ad Image with URL action displays an image with a clickable link. This action type is ideal for promotional banners, sponsor placements, and any visual content that should direct users to an external page when tapped.
Configuration
- Image file — Upload the image you want to display. Supported formats include JPEG, PNG, and GIF. Choose an image that is clear and appropriately sized for mobile display.
- Link URL — Specify the destination URL that users will be taken to when they tap the image. This should be a fully qualified URL including the protocol (e.g.
https://).
When users view the action, the image is displayed within the stack. Tapping the image opens the linked URL in the user's browser. This provides a seamless way to drive traffic to external pages, landing pages, or partner websites.
Media
The Media action displays an image or video to users. It is the most versatile visual action type, supporting multiple display modes and optional header imagery.
Configuration
- Image or video file — Upload the media file you want to display. Images can be in JPEG, PNG, or GIF format. Videos are supported in common web-compatible formats.
- CMS selection — Optionally, instead of uploading a new file, you can select media that has already been uploaded to the CMS. This is useful for reusing assets across multiple actions and stacks.
- Display mode — Toggle between Image and No Image modes. In Image mode, the media is displayed visually. In No Image mode, the action appears as a text-only entry without the visual media element.
- Header image — Optionally upload a separate header image that appears above the main media content. This can be used for branding, titles, or decorative elements.
File
The File action provides a downloadable file to users. Use this action type to distribute documents, PDFs, spreadsheets, or any other file that users may need to download.
Configuration
- File upload — Upload the file you want to make available for download. Any file type is supported, including PDF, DOCX, XLSX, CSV, ZIP, and others.
When users view the action, they are presented with the action name and description along with a download option. Tapping the download option saves the file to the user's device.
Use descriptive action names and descriptions for file actions so users know what they are downloading before they tap. Including the file type and size in the description can improve the user experience.
